Privacy Policy

What Fathom collects

Fathom collects and stores the following data on your device only:

• Your activity progress and completed experiences per theme
• Your logbook entries, including depth ratings, reflections, and photos you choose to capture
• Your settings preferences (pace goal, focus mode, notifications)
• Which experience packs you have purchased
• Your onboarding responses

None of this data is transmitted to our servers. It lives on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the app or use the Reset Progress function in Settings.

What Fathom does not collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information
• We do not collect location data
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs
• We do not serve advertisements
• We do not share any data with third parties
• We do not access your contacts, calendar, or any other apps

Camera access

Fathom requests access to your camera only when you choose to capture a memory during an activity. Photos are stored locally on your device as part of your logbook. They are not uploaded anywhere.

Do Not Disturb access

Fathom optionally requests permission to enable Do Not Disturb mode on your device during activities. This keeps you present and prevents interruptions. The setting is opt-out — you can disable it at any time in Settings. Fathom restores your previous notification state when an activity ends.

In-app purchases

Fathom offers optional experience packs as in-app purchases. Purchases are processed by Google Play. Fathom does not handle or store your payment information. Google Play's privacy policy applies to the payment process.

Feedback emails

If you choose to send feedback via the feedback button in the app, this opens your device's email app and sends a message to our support address. We receive only what you choose to write. We use this solely to improve the app and respond to your feedback.

Children's privacy

Fathom is not directed at children under 13. The Parent & Child theme is designed for parents to use with their children, not for children to use independently. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Data security

Because all data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's own security measures (screen lock, encryption). We recommend keeping your device software up to date.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify users through the app where appropriate.
